Meet the Team
Sandy
As our lead assistant, Sandy works closely with Dr. Scher providing patient care. Sandy has many years of experience in orthodontics and has been with our team for 12 years. Sandy is friendly and comforting with our patients.
Sandy and her husband have three daughters and recently added a granddaughter to her family.
Valerie
Valerie is the newest member of our team. She is the friendly voice on the other end of the telephone and the smiling face at the front desk. As office manager, Valerie is the person who handles insurance claims and billing as well as the day-to-day tasks of running the office.
Valerie and her husband have 2 children, one of whom was a patient in our office years ago.
Yana
Yana is one of our assistants. She has been with our practice for the past 2 1/2 years. She enjoys working with all our patients, especially the youngest ones. Yana is currently taking classes at night to further her education.
Yana and her family immigrated from Russia 10 years ago and has established a life in Stamford. Yana is the proud mother of 5-year old Michael.
